Private Health Fund Rebates

Depending on your health fund and level of extras cover, you may be eligible for a rebate when accessing Counselling services at A Single Step. We are registered providers for the following health funds:

Medibank members whose Extras products include ‘Mental health Support’ can claim a benefit for counselling consultations, up to their annual limit.

To find out if you can claim benefits towards Counselling, refer to your Cover Summary which is available on My Medibank App on your phone, or by logging into the Member Area on the Medibank website. If your extras cover includes ‘mental health support’, then you can claim a benefit for counselling up to the annual limit.

ahm members whose Extras products include ‘Psychology and Counselling’ can claim a benefit for Counselling consultations, up to their annual limit.

To find out if you can claim benefits towards Counselling, refer to your Product Guide which is available on the ahm website. If your extras cover includes ‘Psychology and Counselling’, you can claim a benefit up to your annual limit.

Rebates for counselling services are available for all Bupa members who have the appropriate level of Extras cover. Counselling Rebates are a part of Extras products under the heading ‘Mental Health’.

The Australian Regional Health Group (ARHG) represent a number of smaller, regional health funds. Those currently offering rebates for counselling and psychotherapy are:

  • Teachers Union Health.
